It's not NASCAR's fault that they spent $1 million more than they planned. Also to be frank, NASCAR doesn't really control the decisions in IMSA,,

It's funny...I'm of the opinion that this NASCAR season was the best I can remember so far but they definitely wrecked American sports car racing. :(

Yeah, I just like blaming NASCAR for getting involved in a sport they shouldn't be.

They just really fucked up the series IMO. Tons of BS, and I understood there would be growing pains, but I don't like a lot of their decisions.

Not debating the state of USCR (that's a different kettle of fish that I'm not about to get involved in), but I feel like saying "Dempsey leaving the series in favor of the WEC is an indicator that the series is doomed" is like saying "Racer X leaving the BTCC in favor of the WTCC is an indicator that the BTCC is doomed" or "Racer J leaving Rally America for the WRC is an indicator that Rally America is doomed." It's a driver, currently racing on a national stage, looking to move up to the world stage. Seems to me like that's the aspiration of nearly every racer everywhere, and when it happens anywhere else no one questions the stability of the series.

Audi can't join DP soon enough so they can dominate it and destroy the class and have all DPs be run out of town like the end of CanAm. Then P2 can take their rightful place as the top tier sports car in USCR.
